Do you lose sight of your objectives?
Most of us have short-term goals as well as overall objectives, but we need to keep the big picture in mind. I wrote about this some time ago, when I applied the lessons of a sea battle in 1794 to the management of business. The lesson was that some people were more interested in making sure everyone followed orders than in winning the war. Fortunately Admiral Lord Howe kept thinking of the bigger picture and therefore gained a victory. Let us remember the battle and its lesson, today, which is its anniversary.
If you want to reach your objectives, learn from history!
I have written about various lessons from World War I for business and everyday life in my book Be Victorious!
