Here’s a few basic tips:

  1. Don’t open suspicious e-mails, or their attachments, or follow their links.
  2. Don’t pay any ransom.
  3. Do back up regularly.
  4. Do have a recovery plan.

Remember to apply the basic principles of Risk Management to the cyber risk.
